ENTREPRENEURSHIP: SOCIAL MEDIA
Most clubs and activities at our school have Twitter accounts, and the Central journalism department is no exception. But this Twitter was not active nor informative until I took it over. The impact it had when I took over was incredible - people were much more aware of how the journalism department works behind the scenes and on the sidelines, and it served as a gateway for students to see more of our work.
FLICKR
At the end of every year, we find that we have a surplus of photos in 029. I used to feel really bad that we had all these photos, hidden in folders on our computers, and that the subjects of whom the pictures were taken never got to see them. People love to see pictures of themselves doing what they love. So I created a Flickr, where I could upload all these extra photos for the student body to see.
Though Instragram is the least active of our accounts, it is still another gateway for us to display our work. In my years on staff, I have dedicated myself to sharing and connecting with the student body in as many ways as I can.
